2021 Chevrolet Tahoe Review

Big body-on-frame SUVs may have been written off as obsolete, but Chevy’s 2021 Tahoe shows that big rigs can still deliver plenty of style and technology.

It’s also more comfortable, boasting improved third-row seating and 30% more cargo space compared to its predecessor. Furthermore, its independent rear suspension should provide a smoother ride – especially in higher-end High Country trim levels.

Exterior

The 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe is a redesigned version of their popular SUV that provides more space to Denham Springs drivers as well as updated technology features. A four-inch wheelbase stretch, an extended overall length of 6.7 inches and 40% more legroom for third row passengers make the Tahoe even roomier inside than before.

The exterior styling for the 2018 model is more assertive than before, featuring kinked LED accents that wrap around the grille. High trims like RST feature blacked out aesthetics with faux chrome trim pieces and big 22-inch wheels for a dramatic look.

Inside, the cabin of the Tahoe is quite practical despite its substantial size. A power sliding center console slides up to 10 inches back, giving rear seat occupants easier access to cupholders and climate controls.

The touchscreen controls the dashboard with a speaking-softly-big-stick style interface, while an electronic gear shifter relocates physical infotainment controls to the lower portion of the dashboard. This redesign organized the control band for improved organization and user friendliness.

Interior

The 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe’s interior is a delight for passengers and cargo alike, boasting spaciousness coupled with Chevy’s top-class technology and safety features that will give Gonzales, LA drivers peace of mind while driving.

For instance, the interior features a 10.2-inch infotainment screen connected to Chevrolet Infotainment 3 Plus system which gives access to Bluetooth(r), Apple CarPlay(r), and Android Auto(tm). Keyless entry features allow for secure locking and unlocking your doors without using a key fob.

The Tahoe has plenty of room for passengers in both its first and second rows, which are some of the largest in its class. Furthermore, its third row boasts class-leading legroom thanks to a fold-flat seating system that can be quickly set up or folded away.

Technology

The 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe is a full-sized SUV that has been completely redesigned for the new model year. Among its many features is an independent rear suspension which significantly improves ride quality and offers more passenger and cargo space.

Inside, the Tahoe is much roomier than its predecessor thanks to an extended wheelbase. Its third row seats have been enlarged so adults have 10 inches of legroom, and the second row has been reshaped for greater comfort.

The cabin is even more advanced, featuring a large 10.2-inch touchscreen that makes customizing and controlling your entertainment easier than ever before. Plus, you can connect your smartphone via wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto for even closer connection with the system.

Performance

The 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe provides all the advantages of a large SUV: cargo space, performance and style. Plus, it comes equipped with plenty of standard equipment so you can customize it to meet your individual requirements.

For even greater power, GM offers the 5.3-liter V8 in the base engine of its High Country trim model with 420 horsepower and an automatic 10-speed transmission. If you need even more performance, opt for the 6.2-liter V8 found in the High Country trim at an increased price point of $45,000 USD.

Chevy’s 10-speed automatic is a smooth transmission that makes quick shifts with ease. It may not be as responsive as Ford’s EcoBoost system, but it still manages to impress.

The brake pedal feels soft and comforting, yet it offers enough bite to ensure you don’t get stuck. Plus, its resistance level allows you to feel confident driving in even harsh conditions with ease.
