What Should You Know About The 2022 Ford Bronco Sport?
The 2022 Ford Bronco Sport is placed in a very competitive, crowded segment. With so much competition, it should not be a surprise to see that it does not offer the best value, is not the most efficient, nor the quickest. Even so, you do get quite a lot thanks to really thoughtful features, pretty good off-road capability, and a pretty fun design. The performance you get is not what you normally expect from stock crossovers.
The smaller Bronco, the Sport, is also pleasant on the road. You will have a quiet ride, with adequate handling for the crossover. Both the brakes and the throttle respond well.
The four-cylinder model does feel strong. Even the smaller three-cylinder Sport has great performance. Also, the cabin has generous storage solutions.
The problem is that the 2022 Ford Bronco Sport has an interior with too many cheap-looking and grainy plastics. While the cabin does have to look in a certain way, it does feel a little disappointing due to the high price tag. And in the back seat, you will feel a little tight.
Overall, the Ford Bronco Sport is a capable, stylish off-roader. It is well-rounded.
Fuel Economy – Performance
There are two main engine options for the Bronco Sport. You get a three-cylinder in the base and a turbo-four as the upgrade. With the 1.5 liter base, you get 181 hp, which means you get to 60 miles per hour in 8.6 sec. The fuel consumption for that is 25-28 miles per gallon for city-highway. The 2.0 liter engine offers 250 hp, but only offers an improvement of 0.3 seconds in acceleration till 60.
Safety – Technology
The SUV offers suitable safety content to assist the drivers. You get pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, rear cross-traffic, and blind-spot monitoring. These are standard. You can also get an extra package with evasive steering assist, rain-sensing wipers, and adaptive cruise control.
In every Ford Bronco Sport you get an 8.0 inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto or Apple CarPlay, as desired. The standard audio system is a 6-speaker one, with an available premium system available in higher trims.
Interior Room – Cargo Space
The 2022 Ford Bronco Sport offers enough seating for five people. You get legroom of 42.4 inches in front and 36.9 inches in the back. If you are interested in the available cargo volume, you should know you get 32.5 cubic feet available. If the seats are folded, you get 65.2 cubic feet.
