Peugeot 3008 Vs Nissan Qashqai

The Peugeot 3008 appeared as a great competitor for the Nissan Qashqai as a mini crossover SUV. These are both mini SUVs, with the Qashqai automatically appearing as more interesting because of the integral traction, with 3008 SUV only bringing in front wheel traction.

Peugeot appears as having a little hunchback but you will definitely not feel that when you are driving. From the side we do have a really long look and 3008 is quite impressive. Nissan does look a little more classic in design, with a front that is more rounded, especially in the back and the lateral lines. They simply look better with Qashqai.

When referring to the design, the two do look like being a part of different classes. With this in mind, it is quite obvious that many will simply choose based on design. This is also true when referring to the interior. Both the Nissan Qashqai and the Peugeot 3008 are basically alternatives to the compact models, adding a practice character, a larger ground level and so much more. The 3008 will most likely never consider a four wheel drive model. However, everything stands out with Grip Control, which is Peugeot’s great answer to the four wheel drive thing. It will offer great handling when faced with wet surfaces or even snow.

Interior Design

You will feel a little bored when you get inside the Peugeot 3008 SUV. The dashboard is typical for the manufacturer. The trims that are higher will include different consoles that would be suitable but they will not look that great. The dashboard’s bottom side is not at all great because of space and front space available is not that great. This happens because of the positioning of all the items between the seats. However, other parts of the interior are great. All materials used are of a high quality and the cargo space is suitable.

The Qashqai’s interior is much more classic. It is not as narrow in front and you will definitely appreciate the fact that driving position is much more classic. The cargo space is lower, which is unexpected at first glance. A problem you will see is that the wheel is a little larger than you may believe but you will feel comfortable when driving.

Driving

Nissan Qashqai

The diesel engines for both are quite interesting and effective. Both SUVs have engines that are practically identical due to many different reasons. The power difference with the diesel models is of just 4 hp, which is not at all a lot. Both engines are quite noisy and you can end up faced with a lot of problems as noise ends up being higher when you accelerate. However, this is a compromise because of the fact that you will be faced with quite low fuel consumption.

The Peugeot 3008 is quite impressive when referring to the handling. You will appreciate the fact that it is not at all difficult to drive the SUV but the truth is that the Nisan Qashqai offers much more comfort for longer drives. When you drive at high speeds, both are great but a sportier drive is not recommended with the Qashqai because of the tilting.

The Peugeot 3008 will definitely feature better braking but the vibrations offered will be stronger than with the Qashqai. Nissan needs more strength when you break but the breaking system is far more intelligent, which is something that counts a lot.

Conclusions

Peugeot 3008

On the whole, it is quite hard to differentiate between the two SUVs. We can say that the Qashqai is the one that is better in the event that you will often find yourself driving for many miles. If you are looking for something that you want to drive in the city, you will want to consider the Peugeot 3008. However, at the end of the day everything will be based on a subjective buy.
